Between our decades of experience growing & harvesting and our careful overview of every part of the production process, we accomplish our goal of providing premium pecans every day. But meeting expectations is not enough. We always go the extra mile to ensure that our bulk pecans stand out from the rest of the crop. Our pecans are NON-GMO, Star K Certified, SQF:GFSI certified, and grown & harvested in the United States. Stahmanns’ pecans surpass even the most rigid of standards.
Star K Certified Pecans
The word Kosher is a Hebrew word meaning “proper” or “acceptable.” But today, we most often hear it used in reference to specific food and beverage items. Not all Jewish people adhere to these specifications but for those who do it’s an extremely important part of their daily lives. And, not every individual that requires Kosher-certified pecans is Jewish. Our pecans are Star K certified to ensure that they can be enjoyed by all. SQF: GFSI
The most important part of the pecan production process is ensuring that our pecans are safe to eat. The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) establishes strict global standards for food safety management practices. And we uphold all of these in our pecan production process.
The regulations set forth by Safe Quality Food (SQF) are recognized by the GFSI and cover everything from production and packaging to storage and shipping. Earning an SQF certification assures our clients that our facility and our product meet the highest global food safety standards. In addition to this, we inspect all our batches for irregular or off-color pecans to ensure consistent quality.
NON-GMO Project
The only additions we make to our pecans come from certifications and the New Mexico sunshine. Our pecans are enhanced only by nature and decades of experience, making them a non-GMO food. We know that the best way to produce premium pecans is the most natural way. And so we are dedicated to maintaining our non-GMO status.
FDA
To some, this is a checked box. At Stahmanns, it is another opportunity to go above and beyond. Our pecans are approved by the Food and Drug Administration as safe to eat, but they’ve earned an additional accolade as well. The FDA also recently recognized pecans as a heart-healthy nut. We meet all of the FDAs requirements for safe and nutritious food.
SBA WOSB
We are honored to be recognized by the Small Business Administration (SBA) as a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB). Sally Stahmann-Solis took over the family-owned farm in 2006 and became the third owner/manager of Stahmanns Pecans, continuing a legacy that began many decades before. We are proud to be led by someone so dedicated to building on our heritage.
Enough is Not Enough…
We don’t sell good pecans; We sell premium pecans. Our team members aren’t knowledgeable. They have decades of experience and expertise. Providing premium pecans isn’t something we say. It’s our mission.
We go above and beyond in every way possible to ensure that Stahmanns pecans stand out from the others. Naturally, we didn’t abandon these principles for greatness when it came to certifying our pecans. We could have stopped with FDA-approved and SQF-certified, but we always go the extra mile.
